and Values

Our History
At WA Menopause Clinic, our story begins with listening.
For years, women in Western Australia have shared their challenges navigating the complex and often misunderstood journey of menopause. Inspired by these stories, we founded our clinic to create a safe and supportive space where women are truly heard.
Built on the principles of evidence-based care and deep empathy, our clinic is here to honor the unique experiences of every woman, ensuring that no one has to navigate this stage of life alone.

Dr Melissa Marlow
BSc (Hons), MBBS, nMRCGP, FRACGP, Palliative medicine certificate (UK)
Dr Melissa Marlow practises considered, unhurried medicine, grounded in experience, depth, and respect for the complexity of each woman’s health journey.
Trained in the UK, Dr Marlow qualified as a doctor over 20 years ago and specialised in general practice in 2009. After relocating to Australia with her husband—initially working in rural settings—she later settled in the Perth Hills, where she lives locally with her husband, two children, and two dogs on a bush block she proudly calls home.
Across decades of general practice, alongside the lived experience of raising a family, Dr Marlow has witnessed the cumulative burden of chronic disease—not only on individuals, but on families and communities. This has shaped her belief that meaningful care requires time, careful listening, and an understanding of the broader context in which health exists.
To deepen this work, Dr Marlow is currently undertaking further training in Lifestyle Medicine, strengthening the evidence base behind her holistic approach. This is particularly relevant in menopause care, where hormonal change intersects with physical health, emotional wellbeing, identity, and quality of life.
At WA Menopause Clinic, Dr Marlow is known for longer, in-depth consultations that allow space for detailed history-taking, thoughtful examination, and shared decision-making. Treatment plans are developed collaboratively and refined over time, with follow-up visits focused on reflection, adjustment, and progress rather than rushed outcomes.
Her special interests include menopause, mental health, and palliative care—areas that demand compassion, nuance, and presence. Dr Marlow takes into account physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of health, supporting women not just to manage symptoms, but to feel genuinely supported and understood.
Dr Marlow embodies WA Menopause Clinic’s philosophy that good medicine takes time—and that women deserve care that is attentive, grounded, and deeply human.

Dr Rebecca Goadby
FRACGP, MD, BSc (Paramedic Science), BA (Sports Studies)
Dr Rebecca brings a prevention-focused, intentional approach to women’s health—combining frontline clinical experience with a strong commitment to long-term wellbeing across the lifespan.
After completing her medical degree at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle in 2018, Rebecca entered medicine following more than a decade working as an Ambulance Paramedic with St John WA. That background continues to inform her practice today: pragmatic, calm, and outcomes-driven, with a strong appreciation for early intervention and continuity of care.
Her hospital training across paediatrics, general medicine, emergency medicine, and general surgery provided a broad clinical foundation before she completed her general practice training in 2023.
Rebecca’s clinical interests include women’s health—particularly menopause care—alongside paediatrics, mental health, and preventative medicine.
At WA Menopause Clinic, Rebecca focuses on structured, forward-thinking care. She recognises menopause as a critical window for intervention—where thoughtful assessment and proactive management can significantly influence cardiovascular health, bone strength, cognitive function, metabolic risk, and overall quality of life in the decades ahead. Her consultations emphasise clarity, education, and practical planning, supporting women to make informed decisions with confidence.
Outside of work, Rebecca values balance and restoration. She enjoys time with family and friends, quiet evenings reading on the couch with a cup of tea and her cat Alfred, and a daily yoga practice—approached with curiosity and humility as a self-described beginner.
Rebecca’s care reflects WA Menopause Clinic’s commitment to intentional medicine, preventative thinking, and meaningful partnership, supporting women to invest in their future health with purpose and direction.
