WA Menopause Clinic - Terms of ServiceThese Terms of Service apply to all clients booking appointments, receiving services, or purchasing items through WA Menopause Clinic. By using our services, you agree to the following terms.

 

1. Appointment Confirmation

  • Clients may confirm appointments by calling or emailing our office.

  • We send appointment reminders via email, SMS, or phone call 24-72 hours prior. Please confirm by responding "Yes" or "No" as soon as you receive the reminder.

Please note: Consultation fees may vary based on the complexity of the issues addressed. Medicare rebates are only available for medical consultations focused on menopausal symptoms and related health concerns. Cosmetic consultations and general wellness services are not eligible for Medicare rebates.

Deposit Requirement for Initial Consultations: For an initial in-clinic consultation, a $200 deposit is required at least 24 hours before the appointment to secure the consultation time. This deposit is applied toward the total consultation fee.

 

3. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

  • We understand that schedules change. Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice or missed appointments will incur a $80 fee, payable on the day. This policy helps us offer appointment availability to other patients in need.

 

4. Privacy and Data Security

  • WA Menopause Clinic is committed to protecting client privacy. All personal and medical information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

5. Preparing for Your Appointment

To ensure a thorough and productive consultation, please bring:

  • Relevant medical records, recent blood work, allergy information, and lists of medications you are currently taking.

  • Any imaging or procedure reports or previous medical correspondence that may assist in assessing your health needs.

Complete the following prior to your initial appointment and ensure the clinic has received it so it can be processed:

  • Patient Registration Form

  • Patient Medical Intake Form

  • Video and Photographic Consent

  • Transcription AI Consent for medical note-taking with Heidi AI

  • Requested Menopause Questionnaires

  • Requested Blood Work, Imaging, or Investigations

 

6. Informed Consent

  • WA Menopause Clinic requires all clients to provide informed consent before any treatment. During your consultation, our practitioners will discuss the purpose, benefits, risks, and potential complications of the recommended treatment(s). Clients have the right to ask questions and seek clarification before consenting to any treatment.

 

7. Treatment Suitability and Consultation Process

  • Each treatment is subject to an initial consultation to determine suitability. WA Menopause Clinic reserves the right to recommend alternative treatments if deemed more appropriate for your health or safety.

  • Our practitioners will discuss all available options with you, including treatment risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.

 

8. Liability and Disclaimer

  • WA Menopause Clinic provides consultations and treatments based on the latest evidence and practices in menopausal healthcare. However, individual results may vary, and clients acknowledge that all treatments carry inherent risks.

  • WA Menopause Clinic is not responsible for adverse outcomes resulting from undisclosed medical information or non-compliance with post-treatment guidelines.

  • This liability disclaimer does not exclude any rights provided under Australian Consumer Law.

 

9. Children and Pets

  • Children: Due to safety and privacy considerations, children are not permitted in treatment areas. Clients are advised to arrange alternative childcare during their appointment.

  • Pets: WA Menopause Clinic maintains a sterile environment; therefore, pets are not permitted in the clinic unless they are certified service animals.

 

10. Post-Treatment Responsibilities

  • Following treatment, clients may be given specific aftercare instructions to support treatment effectiveness and reduce potential complications. It is the client’s responsibility to follow these instructions. WA Menopause Clinic is not liable for any adverse outcomes resulting from non-compliance with post-treatment guidelines.

 

11. Medical Emergencies and Adverse Reactions

  • In the rare event of a medical emergency or adverse reaction following a treatment at WA Menopause Clinic, clients are advised to seek immediate medical attention. The clinic can be contacted for follow-up care during office hours, but in emergencies, clients should proceed to the nearest hospital or call emergency services.

 

12. Refund Policy

  • WA Menopause Clinic maintains a ‘no refund’ policy on services and consultations unless required by law.

  • Refunds for retail items are available if items are unused and in their original packaging. Please contact our team with any queries regarding returns.

 

13. Payments

  • Payment is required on the day of the appointment, typically after the consultation or service is provided.

  • Initial Consultation Deposit: A $200 deposit is required at least 24 hours before an initial consultation. After three years (or at the doctor’s discretion) of not attending the practice, an initial consultation may be required to initiate treatment again.

 

14. Right to Refuse Service

  • WA Menopause Clinic reserves the right to refuse service to any client if it is deemed that the requested treatment may pose a risk to their health or well-being. This decision will comply with anti-discrimination laws.

 

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Australia, specifically adhering to the requirements under Australian Consumer Law and AHPRA guidelines where applicable.

 

16. Changes to Terms of Service

We may update our Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in clinic policies or regulations. We encourage clients to review these terms periodically.
